We aim to be as transparent as possible in our listings for all timepieces. This particular one was advertised in ‘very good’ condition. Our initial communication with the buyer involved sending multiple pictures of the watch from all angles so they could see any imperfections. The client was happy and decided to proceed at a discounted price, we use a priority shipping provider, and their order was with them within 4 days of their payment being verified. It was at this point that the client decided the corners were ‘over polished’ and the shape of the corners had apparently ‘changed’ – this was the buyers attempt at requesting a further discount. The watch was not over polished and if it was, it would have been visible in the images we provided them with. Rather than compensating with a discount, we decided we would prefer to offer a full refund, so that the timepiece could go to a fully satisfied customer. The client failed to communicate with us after realising we was willing to adhere to their wishes, making the feedback above inaccurate.

The advert said “Unworn”, but I was a bit surprised when the watch arrive and the clasp was heavily scuffed / scratched , as were three of the links and case at the 9 o’clock position. There seemed to be a thin layer of oil to mask these and not like the pictures. I’d seen the clasp damage before after wearing my Rolex Deepsea and it rubbing over time. But I needed it as a gift for my dad’s birthday. I took it to the Rolex Boutique in Glasgow as I need two further links as the size of the bracket was a wee bit tight for my dad. The folk there fitted them links and kindly polished it for free and I can’t thank or recommend Watches of Switzerland enough and actually ended up buying a Rolex watch from them for my mum !!!

Ho ricevuto l’orologio ed era perfetto! Peccato che sia stato consegnato nel cofanetto sbagliato e mancava un accessorio. Dopo averlo fatto notare, il commerciante ha subito ammesso l’errore ed inviato il cofanetto corretto e l’accessorio. Tuttavia un errore che non mi aspettavo da un commerciante serio e professionale come questo

Thank you for your feedback. We are a serious and reputable business. Unfortunately, the incorrect box was sent out initially by a new employee, which I am sure you can appreciate that no matter how serious a company is, human error can still occur. As soon as we were aware of the issue, we did apologise for the matter and rectified it as soon as possible by sending you the correct box which I am sure you are now happy with.
